Polaroid of the Week: Helsinki's Majestic Cathedral in Fresh Winter Snow

Polaroid of the Week: Helsinki s Majestic Cathedral in Fresh Winter SnowThey say time flies when you're having fun—and it certainly did during my recent week in Helsinki. After a quick trip to Stockholm, I returned to find the city transformed under a fresh layer of snow, a far cry from my first gray, cold visit.

My main focus was the MATKA Nordic Travel Fair, filled with workshops and networking. Despite packed days and chilly free time (around 32°F/0°C, milder than the expected 5°F/-15°C), I got a solid feel for Helsinki. I'll return soon for a summer stay, thanks to winning a 2-night prize at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel where I stayed. Even better, they're offering the same to one of my readers—stay tuned if you're planning a Finland trip!

Though time was short, I explored via a delightful Helsinki Food Tour with Heather's Helsinki and an exhilarating Amazing Race with fellow bloggers, leading to the city's impressive cathedral (pictured above). More details on these adventures and the inspiring NBE Finland event coming soon—a hub for travel pros and bloggers to discuss industry shifts. I left energized, smiling as I boarded my flight, knowing it's 'see you later, Helsinki!'

(And perhaps because I'm now headed to summer sun and beaches! 😉)

  • Polaroid of the Week: Effortlessly Floating in Israel s Dead Sea

Last week, I embarked on an unforgettable road trip across Israel, from the Lebanese border in the north to Eilat on the Red Sea in the south, glimpsing the Egyptian and Jordanian borders during morning runs. Highlights abounded: the stunning blue grottoes of Rosh Hanikra near Lebanon, the historic fishing village of Akko, and the breathtaking Baháí Gardens in Haifa. Heading south, we reached the Dead Sea, where I hiked Masada at 5:30 a.m. for a sunrise vista, explored Ein Gedis desert oasis wat

  • Polaroid of the Week: Majestic Castle Spotted in the Alps

Embarking on a scenic drive from Innsbruck, Austria, to our housesit in the Bavarian mountains, we cruised the Autobahn in a rented Smart car. Suddenly, a stunning castle emerged into view—blink and it was gone. We captured this fleeting moment with a quick Polaroid snap. Not quite a castle in the sky, this idyllic fortress perfectly embodies the Alpine charm. Our drive-by Polaroid of the day!

  • Polaroid of the Week: Epic Cycling Adventure Through Berlin

Apologies for the recent hiatus—Ive finally rolled out the long-overdue mobile-friendly website redesign. The transition hit a few snags, so please bear with me as I squash the remaining bugs. Exciting new posts are lined up and ready to publish. After an unforgettable first weekend in Berlin, we kept the momentum going with vibrant street art hunts, classic German breakfasts, our first-ever vegetarian currywurst, breathtaking sunsets over Tempelhof Airport (one of my favorite city gems), and an
