Polaroid of the Week: Helsinki's Majestic Cathedral in Fresh Winter Snow
They say time flies when you're having fun—and it certainly did during my recent week in Helsinki. After a quick trip to Stockholm, I returned to find the city transformed under a fresh layer of snow, a far cry from my first gray, cold visit.
My main focus was the MATKA Nordic Travel Fair, filled with workshops and networking. Despite packed days and chilly free time (around 32°F/0°C, milder than the expected 5°F/-15°C), I got a solid feel for Helsinki. I'll return soon for a summer stay, thanks to winning a 2-night prize at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel where I stayed. Even better, they're offering the same to one of my readers—stay tuned if you're planning a Finland trip!
Though time was short, I explored via a delightful Helsinki Food Tour with Heather's Helsinki and an exhilarating Amazing Race with fellow bloggers, leading to the city's impressive cathedral (pictured above). More details on these adventures and the inspiring NBE Finland event coming soon—a hub for travel pros and bloggers to discuss industry shifts. I left energized, smiling as I boarded my flight, knowing it's 'see you later, Helsinki!'
(And perhaps because I'm now headed to summer sun and beaches! 😉)
