Polaroid of the Week: Spotting Turtles Amid Canada's Intense Heat Wave

Almost exactly 13 months ago to the day, we hiked hundreds of feet up into the mountains outside Tucson, Arizona, escaping scorching heat and heeding "Beware of Bears" signs.

We learned turtles enter dormancy in extreme heat, so despite our search, none appeared. Even the turtles are too hot to surface!
