Polaroid of the Week: New York's Iconic Flatiron Building

Polaroid of the Week: New York s Iconic Flatiron Building

With just one more Polaroid from New York before departing for South America, I'm filled with mixed emotions. Excitement builds as I plan my trip, envisioning pristine Caribbean beaches and finalizing details for my arrival in Colombia in under two weeks. Yet, leaving this vibrant city is bittersweet. As temperatures drop, it feels like the right time to go, knowing I'll return to warmer days without the need for heavy winter gear.

Last week, friends returned from holiday travels, pulling me back into social outings and preventing isolation while I care for four cats. The weather was overcast and dreary, ushering in winter blues. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I miss morning coffee al fresco, fresh-air runs, park sunsets, and even working outdoors during warmer months. Vitamin D deficiency is setting in with the cold.

That said, reflecting on New Year's Eve dancing, indulgent meals, wonderful company, and a cozy apartment, I have little reason to complain. Life here remains enviable, regardless of the chill—the cats provide plenty of warmth! 😊

I hope you had a wonderful start to the New Year—where did you celebrate 2016?
