Polaroid of the Week: A Perfect Fall Sunday in New York City

Polaroid of the Week: A Perfect Fall Sunday in New York CityThis week's Polaroid captures a quintessential moment from New York City. After just six weeks away, I'm thrilled to be back in my favorite city for a few weeks before my next adventure. Despite a whirlwind pre-trip schedule, the joy of returning has erased memories of last week's rainy days. Stay tuned for my October travel update, where I'll reveal how this surprise trip unfolded and tease my exciting November destination.

Stepping out of the airport, I instantly felt at home—as if I had never left. The biggest change? Trading Israel's summer heat and flip-flops for cozy sweaters, jeans, and boots. I've relished fall runs through Central Park and along the Hudson River, revisited beloved eateries and coffee shops, and embraced indoor pursuits skipped during summer. Highlights include two theater visits and weekend art exhibits at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City and the Brooklyn Museum—both highly recommended.

Today brought ideal fall weather: blue skies and mild temperatures. Hoping for vibrant foliage in Central Park, I was delighted to find the ice rink already open—ahead of November! I plan to skate before departing and seek peak colors upstate next week. With Halloween approaching, Happy Halloween to all celebrating! Being back in the U.S. for the holiday has me brainstorming ways to top last year's costume.

Despite crossing off items regularly, the list only expands. During my recent NYC visit, I checked off several while adding even more, including a long-awaited trip to photograph the iconic Green-Woo

When it rains, it pours, as the saying goes—and thats been literal and figurative lately. Torrential downpours flooded Guadalajaras streets today, reminding me of Seattles relentless rains. Amid personal challenges and tough news, Ive been in a slump, but this trip is lifting my spirits.Arriving in Mexico felt like coming home—spotting that familiar OXXO store outside the airport terminal sealed it. Mexicos comforting vibe has eased me back into solo travel, and the mostly perfect weather has be

  • Polaroid of the Week: Unforgettable Pumpkin Patch Adventure in Buckley, Washington

October held a special place in my heart this year. After several U.S. autumns without experiencing one, I finally visited my first pumpkin patch, thanks to friends Tawny and Chris. This quintessential fall activity is now checked off my bucket list! The Buckley, Washington patch exceeded expectations. Beyond the vast field of vibrant orange pumpkins in every shape and size, it offered a corn maze, pig races, tractor-pulled hay rides, pony rides, a goat walk, and playful ducks. I especially enjoy
