Located in the northwest region of the Yucatan Peninsula, 70km from the great city of Mérida, we can find Sisal, a Magical Town waiting to be discovered by you on your next vacation.

 

Its name comes from the Mayan culture, and means '' Freshness and shade made by large trees". Sisal was popular for being a very important commercial port in Colonial times, where the commercialization of henequen fibers, cotton, tobacco and dyewood took place. Today it is recognized as one of the areas of great biological influence for the Caribbean.

 

Being a coastal destination, its gastronomic offer is full of dishes made with seafood, so you cannot leave without tasting the typical dish of the area known as Tikin Xic.
