Coyuca de Benítez, is a city located in the state of Guerrero, on the southern coast of the state, which is called the Costa Grande region. It adjoins the port of Acapulco in the area of Pie de la Cuesta, where it shares the Laguna de Coyuca, which is characterized by not having large condominiums and hotels, thus preserving the rustic style of Traditional Acapulco.

It has an extensive area of beaches such as La Barra de Coyuca, Playa Azul, Playa del Carrizal, and Mitla; It also has a lacustrine area with two large lagoons: Mitla and Coyuca; Two islands are located within the Coyuca lagoon: Isla de Los Pájaros, which has no inhabitants and serves as a refuge for various species of birds that migrate from Canada, and Isla Montosa, where visitors who come by boat from Pie de la Cuesta and the Embarcadero, can enjoy succulent dishes from the region such as Cuatete al Chingadazo, as well as fish from the lagoon itself.

One of the main attractions and most visited by tourists who come to the area is Barra de Coyuca, which has the peculiarity of offering three types of water; the open sea of the Pacific, where there are waves of medium height, ideal for young people who begin to practice the sport of surfing, as well as the peaceful Laguna de Coyuca, where you can ride a boat or jet ski and the sweet waters of the Rio de Coyuca with a minimum depth.

Every year this area attracts visitors from all over the country to the International Palm Expo-Fair, in which artists of international stature are presented. Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel, located downtown is a colonial-style church with a central dome, the only one of its kind in the entire mountain range of the state of Guerrero...
