Reach Falls: Jamaica's Premier Waterfall Oasis in Pristine Rainforest

Jamaica boasts countless waterfalls, but Reach Falls emerges as one of its most mesmerizing natural wonders. White, rushing cascades spill over limestone tiers into jade-green pools, enveloped by untouched rainforest. Visitors can hike, wade, and swim along an unmarked jungle path from below the main entrance right to the falls' edge.
Do You Need a Guide?
Upon arrival, local guides offer their expertise—essential for accessing the upper pools, which we strongly recommend. Highlights include the thrilling 'rabbit hole,' an underwater tunnel higher up. Trusted guides like Leonard Welsh (849-6598) and Kenton Davy (438-3507) provide insightful tours, identifying plants and wildlife en route to the falls.
The highlight, Mandingo Cave, awaits at the cascades' summit. Equip yourself with climbing shoes for the challenging ascent over slippery rocks, vibrant moss, and invigorating spring-fed pools. Navigate underwater tunnels amid frothy cascades—an exhilarating adventure worth every step.
What Are the Entry Fees?
Adults pay $10, children (11 and under) $5.
How to Get There
Well-signposted turnoff is 1 mile (2km) north of Manchioneal. Route taxis from Port Antonio to Manchioneal can drop you off; it's then 1.8 miles (3km) uphill to the falls.
