Playa Rincón: Samaná's Pristine 3km Beach Paradise

Playa Rincón features powdery, nearly white sands and vibrant turquoise waters perfect for swimming, stretching uninterrupted for 3 km—ample space for every visitor. A small stream at the western end provides a refreshing freshwater dip, backed by lush palm forests. Beachside restaurants offer fresh seafood and chair rentals, ideal for a full day of relaxation.
Most arrive by boat from Las Galeras (20 minutes each way), with standard tours departing around 9 AM and returning at 4 PM. Asoldega provides return trips for RD$2,500 (RD$800 per person for groups of four or more).
The road is newly paved except the final 3 km, which remains accessible by any vehicle barring heavy rain. The unmarked turnoff is 6 km south of Las Galeras toward Samaná (19 km total from town center). Round-trip taxis cost RD$3,000 (9 AM–5 PM, including wait); motoconchos are RD$1,200 return.
Occasional uncollected debris is a minor drawback. Some historians claim Christopher Columbus landed here, not Playa Las Flechas.
