HVAB: Tell us about yourselves and your roles at The Nature Inn.
Kashia: As Operations Manager, I oversee daily operations. Lexie, ten years my junior, handles Guest Services while studying Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State's Smeal College of Business. She also manages customer engagement, blogs, marketing, and her popular Facebook vlog series, “Nature Inn in the Eyes of Lexie,” which guests rave about.
HVAB: What brought you to Happy Valley?
Lexie: We were born and raised here!
HVAB: What keeps you here?
Kashia: I joined The Nature Inn during college and have advanced my career here over five years. Happy Valley's recreational variety—hiking Rothrock State Forest, Mount Nittany, kayaking Spring Creek, Bald Eagle Creek, and F.J. Sayers Lake—keeps me and my fiancé, plus our two dogs, adventuring.
Lexie: Lifelong resident and now a Penn State student and Nature Inn team member, I love the vibrant college town vibe.

Kashia: We welcome year-round guests, guiding them to local dining, attractions, and events. Our popular equipment loaner program, in partnership with Bald Eagle State Park, offers snowshoes and cross-country skis for winter exploration—free for guests and locals alike.
Lexie: We draw visitors to discover Happy Valley's gems, partnering with top local businesses to boost the economy. Guests return thrilled by our recommendations.
