Myrtle Beach's Military Appreciation Days in May feature parades, exhibits, and more. Catch the parade at 10:30 a.m. along Howard Avenue and Farrow Parkway at The Market Common. Grand Marshal: U.S. Army Reserve Capt. and 2016 Miss USA Deshauna Barber. Follow with a free Family Picnic at Grand Park, featuring lunch by Omar Shriners Chefs and live music from the Andrew Thielen Big Band. Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest

This popular Bikefest runs all weekend, with a 23-mile traffic loop from 10 p.m. Friday–Sunday until 2 a.m.: 29th Avenue North & Ocean Blvd south to Kings Hwy, up Harrelson Blvd to U.S. Hwy 501, north on S.C. 31, south on George Bishop Pkwy back to start. Plan for traffic.
