Military Appreciation Days Parade and Family Picnic

Myrtle Beach honors Military Appreciation Days throughout May with engaging activities. Join the parade on Saturday, May 25, starting at 10:30 a.m. along Howard Avenue and Farrow Parkway at The Market Common. The 2019 Grand Marshal was US Army Ranger-turned-country artist Keni Thomas, with World War II US Army Nurse Treva Greene as Honorary Grand Marshal.

After the parade, attend the free Family Picnic at Valor Memorial Garden from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., featuring exhibits, live music, and a meet-and-greet with Grand Marshal Keni Thomas.

Atlantic Beach Memorial Day Bikefest

In Myrtle Beach, a 23-mile traffic loop operates 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday: from 29th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard south to Kings Highway, up Harrelson Boulevard to U.S. Hwy 501, onto S.C. 31 north, south on George Bishop Parkway, back to 29th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard.
