June is Pride Month nationwide, a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community’s achievements and work toward a future where everyone can live authentically in a world of unity, acceptance, and love. In 2021, the month gains deeper meaning for Orlando, which will host the Pulse Five‑Year Remembrance Ceremony on June 12 along with a series of related events.

Below is a guide to Pulse Remembrance and Pride Month events taking place in Orlando this June. Due to COVID‑19 logistical uncertainties, several high‑profile events traditionally held in June have been rescheduled: Girls in Wonderland (Oct. 14‑18, 2021), GayDays® (May 31‑June 6, 2022), One Magical Weekend (June 2‑6, 2022), and Tidal Wave Party (June 2022). The full lineup is expected to return to the first weekend of June starting in 2022.
Acts of Love and Kindness (Through June 12, 2021)
In honor of the lives lost on June 12, 2016, One Orlando Alliance invites everyone to act with love and give. Participate in various ways—details at One Orlando Alliance. Share your Act of Love and Kindness on social media, tagging @OneOrlandoAlliance and using #ActLoveGive.
RED Shirt Pride Day (June 5, 2021)
Hosted by KindRED Pride Foundation, this tradition began in 1991 at Magic Kingdom® Park. Wear a red shirt to Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday in June, or join the virtual RED Shirt Challenge—share a selfie or video with hashtags #RSPD and #taketheREDshirtchallenge.
CommUNITY Rainbow Run in Orlando
5th Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run & AHF CommUNITY Festival (June 5, 2021)
The 4.9 km run honors the 49 Pulse victims, survivors, and first responders, benefiting the National Pulse Memorial and Museum and onePULSE Foundation. It starts and ends at Wadeview Park, downtown Orlando. The event also features a Kids Fun Run and a virtual option for global participants. The AHF CommUNITY Festival runs 7 a.m.–10:30 a.m. at Wadeview Park, offering free admission, live entertainment, food, and family‑friendly activities.
Community: Five Years After the Pulse Tragedy – Free Admission Week (June 5‑13, 2021)
The Orange County Regional History Center hosts an exhibition exploring the global impact of the Pulse tragedy. Admission is free for the entire week.
MCA Presents Straight Men Real Makeup (June 6, 2021)
Eight straight men perform drag routines, judged by three professional drag queens. Winners receive cash tips—all proceeds support onePULSE Foundation.
An Evening of Reflection and Promise – Virtual Event (June 7, 2021)
This online gathering addresses religious trauma within the LGBTQ+ community and envisions a future of harm reduction, understanding, and inclusion.
Frontyard Festival®: Orlando Gay Chorus Presents My Portraits of Pulse – The Story of JD Casto (June 8, 2021)
Part of the open‑air Frontyard Festival series at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, this free event showcases JD Casto’s photography capturing the Pulse tragedy.
United We Dance (June 10, 2021)

Frontyard Festival®: Pulse Five‑Year Remembrance Ceremony Livestream (June 12, 2021)
The onePULSE Foundation holds its annual Remembrance Ceremony at the Pulse Interim Memorial, inviting families, survivors, first responders, and trauma teams. The general public can watch a livestream—free, first‑come, first‑served—within the Frontyard Festival series at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
49 Bells (June 12, 2021)
On June 12, communities worldwide are encouraged to ring a bell 49 times at 12 p.m. local time, commemorating the 49 victims and reaffirming commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion. Follow the event with #49Bells.
Orlando United Day (June 12, 2021)
Orlando United Day is a day of love and kindness, honoring the 49 lost, supporting survivors, and recognizing the Central Florida community’s compassion. It is a joint effort by the City of Orlando, Orange County Government, One Orlando Alliance, and onePULSE Foundation.
Illusions After Hours (June 12, 2021)
From 10 p.m.–1 a.m., Museum of Illusions at ICON Park® offers admission and a ride on The Wheel in support of Orlando’s LGBTQ+ community and Pride Month. A cash bar and music are provided, and a portion of ticket sales is donated to the National Pulse Memorial and Museum.
Orlando Pride Match “Mission Rainbow” (June 20, 2021) & Orlando City Soccer Club Match “Pride in Our City” (June 22, 2021)
At Exploria Stadium, Orlando Pride and Orlando City Soccer Club will play matches against NJ/NY Gotham FC and San Jose Earthquakes, respectively, commemorating the Pulse tragedy and celebrating love in Orlando.
