Topgolf Breaks Ground on First South Carolina Venue in Myrtle Beach
Global Sports Entertainment Leader Builds First South Carolina Venue, Expecting 300,000 Annual Visits
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., April 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Global sports entertainment leader Topgolf® has officially broken ground in Myrtle Beach. The 55,000-square-foot venue is set to open to the public in early 2019.

Topgolf offers a premium blend of interactive play, chef-driven food and beverages, and live music, engaging people of all ages and skill levels—even non-golfers—in friendly competition. Guests hit microchipped golf balls that automatically score for accuracy and distance on screens in their private bays. Each venue boasts premium menus, top-shelf drinks, large-screen TVs, versatile event spaces, and climate-controlled hitting bays for year-round enjoyment. Year-round events include kids' programs, family nights, social leagues, corporate groups, golf tournaments, and lessons.

The new venue is located at the southeast corner of 29th Avenue and Robert Grissom Parkway, opposite Broadway at the Beach. Topgolf projects around 300,000 visitors in its first year, with about half identifying as non-golfers.

Topgolf Myrtle Beach will generate 350 full- and part-time jobs. The three-level facility includes 1,975 square feet of private event space and 72 climate-controlled hitting bays accommodating up to six players each.
