WonderWorks Myrtle Beach Unveils Thrilling New Exhibits for Spring and Summer
Myrtle Beach, SC (March 27, 2018) – Spring marks the start of 'the year of new' at WonderWorks, located at Broadway at the Beach. This iconic upside-down house, featuring an indoor amusement park for the mind, introduces an array of captivating exhibits designed to delight first-time visitors, returning guests, locals, and tourists alike. Rooted in education, WonderWorks demonstrates that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning through science-based activities is both practical for daily life and incredibly enjoyable.
The WonderWorks team is excited to showcase these new exhibits and events:
Dr. Seuss Taxidermy
Celebrating what would have been Dr. Seuss's 114th birthday on March 2, this special exhibition features his renowned artwork and 'unorthodox taxidermy.' Guests can immerse themselves in the whimsical world of the author's most cherished creatures and inspirations.
Astronaut Gyroscope
This engaging four-person gyroscope spins and rotates unpredictably, simulating the disorienting effects of space travel. Riders experience the sensation of zero-gravity weightlessness that astronauts encounter.
Speed of Light
In the physical challenge zone, The Speed of Light pits contestants against the clock to catch as many flashing lights as possible. This all-ages exhibit blends physical science lessons with the fascinating concept of light's speed.
Professor Wonder’s Adventure
Step into an interactive spatial augmented reality journey tracing WonderWorks' origins. This 3D experience transforms your surroundings, offering an immersive look at the attraction's history.
Illusion Art Gallery
As STEM evolves into STEAM with the addition of Arts, WonderWorks adapts accordingly. The upgraded Illusion Art Gallery now boasts more optical illusions, providing a mind-bending respite between exhibits.
Sensory Nights
For inclusive fun, WonderWorks offers Sensory Nights on select dates. Exhibits with intense lights, sounds, and music are adjusted for lower stimulation, accommodating adults and children with special needs at discounted rates.
"As a science-based educational attraction, we evolve with industry advancements," said General Manager Robert Stinnett. "We're committed to staying fresh, offering something new for every visit—whether it's your first or your 100th. These exhibits kick off our exciting updates in Myrtle Beach!"
WonderWorks delivers unique family bonding through over 100 hands-on exhibits, fostering young minds with cutting-edge science. All new exhibits are now open with standard admission. For more details or tickets, visit www.wonderworksmb.com.
