My Heart-Pounding Experience on the Myrtle Beach SkyCoaster: SC's Largest Thrill Ride
I'm no adrenaline junkie. As a stay-at-home mom, I barely sleep before tackling thrilling assignments like the Slingshot—or the Myrtle Beach SkyCoaster. While Myrtle Beach Grand Prix offers exciting ground-level fun with go-karts, its SkyCoaster delivers the park's most exhilarating high-flying adventure.
The SkyCoaster is an intense free-fall swing for 1-3 riders, lifted to about 100 feet. Riders pull a ripcord to unleash a terrifying plunge, swinging like a massive pendulum—nothing like a playground swing.
South Carolina's largest SkyCoaster proved scarier than expected. Even after riding downtown Myrtle Beach's Slingshot, I wrongly assumed it wouldn't make me scream. I was mistaken.
I double-dog dare you to try it. Add the SkyCoaster to your Myrtle Beach Grand Prix wristband for just $5, or purchase individual rides for $25.
