Myrtle Beach Lowcountry Shrimp Boil Recipe
Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
- 2-3 Tablespoons Old Bay seasoning per gallon of water (or to taste)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2½ lbs red new potatoes
- 1 (16 oz) package cooked kielbasa sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 ears corn, halved
- 2 lbs fresh shrimp, unpeeled
Directions
- Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all ingredients. Add Old Bay and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add potatoes and sausage. Cook on medium heat for 14 minutes.
- Add corn and cook for an additional 6 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes, until pink and opaque.
- Drain and serve immediately, sprinkled with extra Old Bay.
