63rd Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival: Full Schedule and Highlights This Weekend
The beloved Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival returns this weekend, June 1-3, 2018, signaling the start of summer along the Grand Strand. First held in 1951 and running annually until 2011, the event was revived in 2016 to the delight of locals and visitors. This year's edition is hosted by the Oceanfront Merchants Association and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
One of the Grand Strand's premier annual events, the festival unfolds along the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, allowing attendees to enjoy both festivities and beach time. Expect ideal weather before the peak summer heat, plus spectacular fireworks over the beach.
Held at Plyler Park (1309 North Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach), the 63rd Sun Fun Festival features top-tier entertainment including Too Much Sylvia, Jim Quick and Coastline, the Swingin' Medallions, The Tonez, the Sand Lovers' Sand Sculpture Team, the Golden Knights US Army Parachute Team, the official Sun Fun Parade, and more across three exciting days.
