The beloved Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival returns this weekend, June 1-3, 2018, signaling the start of summer along the Grand Strand. First held in 1951 and running annually until 2011, the event was revived in 2016 to the delight of locals and visitors. This year's edition is hosted by the Oceanfront Merchants Association and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
