From I-95, exit at 42 onto Highway 17 leading to Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, a preserved Georgia coastal rice plantation. Tour Ophelia Dent's home, adorned with authentic 18th- and 19th-century family heirlooms and furnishings. Open Wednesdays through Sundays, 9am–5pm (last tour at 4pm).
12:30 – 1:30pm
Drive the scenic Highway 17 south into Brunswick (about 10 miles), then left onto F.J. Torras Causeway toward St. Simons Island. Marvel at the surrounding marshes and winding rivers—a serene, snow-globe-like panorama.
Arrive at Pier Village for top island dining. Relax with local favorites like Brogen's South or Iguana's Seafood Restaurant.
