The Blue Trees Environmental Art Installation Arrives in Chattanooga This Fall

Public Art Chattanooga is proud to host artist Konstantin Dimopoulos and his renowned The Blue Trees project this fall. During his six-week residency, Dimopoulos will collaborate with the local community to install this striking environmental artwork across various city locations, while partnering with organizations for educational programs and celebratory events.

The Blue Trees is a powerful environmental art installation that merges ecological awareness with community action. By uniting residents to paint trees blue in neighborhoods throughout Chattanooga, the artist reimagines our relationship with urban green spaces—highlighting how our individual and collective actions shape our environment. Made with organic, non-toxic pigments, the vivid blue hues naturally fade over the course of a year through weather and seasonal cycles, emphasizing the ephemeral beauty of nature.
