Discover ASU Tempe's Gallery of Scientific Exploration at ISTB 4
Recently, visitors to Arizona State University's Tempe campus can explore the newly opened Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building IV (ISTB 4). This innovative space features the captivating Gallery of Scientific Exploration, with interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity in science and engineering. Best of all, it's free and open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The first-floor gallery showcases kiosk-style interactive exhibits and large-format, high-definition monitors displaying live video from Earth-observing satellites and robotic probes. Guests can delve into Earth and space sciences through digital media, public lectures, visible labs, and hands-on displays. Highlights include a replica of NASA's Mars Rover Curiosity, the EarthScope instrument for studying earthquakes and plate tectonics, and the Magic Planet—a six-foot-diameter digital globe presenting dynamic global and extraterrestrial data.
On the second floor, the meteorite display from ASU's renowned Center for Meteorite Studies allows visitors to interact with exhibits, handle authentic specimens, and view videos of the collection.
These exhibits offer mind-expanding experiences and fascinating insights into scientific discovery. Plan a weekday visit to Tempe to experience ASU's ISTB 4 firsthand.
