2021/2022 Broadway Season at ASU Gammage in Tempe: Full Lineup, Tickets & Tips
Tempe, Arizona, is one of the few cities privileged to host premier touring Broadway productions. Each year, ASU Gammage delivers an exceptional lineup through the Desert Financial Broadway Across America – Arizona series. The 2021/2022 season launches in September with the revolutionary musical HAMILTON, an epic story of ambition, love, and revolution, and wraps up with a nearly month-long engagement of the timeless family favorite, Disney’s THE LION KING.
This season brings fresh excitement with shows making their ASU Gammage debut. MEAN GIRLS adapts Tina Fey’s cult-classic film into a sharp, hilarious musical that’s utterly “fetch.” Meanwhile, COME FROM AWAY shares the heartwarming true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers in a Newfoundland town on 9/11, where suspicion turns to unexpected bonds of friendship and humanity.
Designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright, ASU Gammage is a stunning landmark on the southwest corner of the ASU Tempe campus at Mill Avenue and Apache Boulevard. For seamless parking, note ongoing construction in the area—arrive at least one hour early if heading straight to the show.
Elevate your evening by pairing the performance with Tempe’s vibrant downtown scene. Just steps away, you’ll find diverse restaurants perfect for pre-show dinner or post-show drinks and dessert. Ample parking awaits downtown, followed by a short walk or pedicab ride to the venue. Discover top dining spots near ASU Gammage here.
