Cinco de Mayo Highlights Along the Margarita Mile
Taqueria La Ventana Downtown
Taqueria La Ventana on McKinney Avenue remains one of the premier Cinco de Mayo venues. In its seventh year, the taco stand will broaden its offerings with new drink specials, fresh live entertainment, and a Margarita Mile pop‑up. Visit from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. to enjoy a patio brunch, DJ XClusive, and Tamborazo De Arranque. Don’t miss the Margarita Mile trailer for giveaways, lawn games, photo ops with mascot Slice, and a taste of the signature Margarita Mile popsicle!
Jose
Jose is celebrating Cinco de Mayo all weekend. On Saturday, May 4, live music kicks off at 5 p.m., pairing perfectly with their Park Cities Enchiladas and Squozen Margarita. Sunday’s patio features food and drink specials, mariachi bands, games, face painting, a photo booth, and more for an extra special Sunday Funday.
The Rustic
Sundays at The Rustic are hard to beat with a sprawling patio and the weekly Jam and Toast family‑style brunch. Join the Cinco de Mayo fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Jam and Toast, or stop by in the afternoon for signature tacos and tequila flights from 3 p.m. to close. Live music, appearances from Poncho the miniature donkey, and free photos by Photo Wagon will be available all day.
Café Herrera
Craving street tacos and stunning downtown views? Stop by Café Herrera for $3 barbacoa and carnitas street tacos, washed down with the colorful Maximo Margarita.
Be sure to check in at each spot, capture your festivities, and tag @MargaritaMile!
