Curated Links We Love: June 16, 2012 Armchair Travel Edition

Links We Love, a compendium of what we're loving right now. Happy armchair traveling.

Pavia, founder/CEO

I've been on the road a lot in the last month (Italy, Croatia, Barbados), and I'm happy to stay put for a while and travel on my laptop. I'm totally digging the street art compiled by Bored Panda — Prometheus rolling a ball of people up stairs, weeds as a lady's pubic hair, Pac-Man eating a crosswalk.

This is what London markets looked like in 1961. Health inspectors today would never approve of the carcasses piled in a truck outside Covent Garden.

As part of TRACK (an art experience in the public spaces of Ghent), Italian artist Massimo Bartolini installed a huge outdoor library in the middle of a Belgian vineyard.

Fragmented Chronicles are a moment in time, a sense of place, captured in the tiniest of terrariums. That fit on your finger.

I love how New Yorkers get territorial. Case in point: the comments related to this map of the city's historical hip hop scene.

Berit, assistant editor

To fuel my recent obsession with all things Copenhagen, here's a handy guide from Bon Appétit on how to throw your very own Smørrebrød party.

Love these "Live the Language" films, which tell the story of a student studying abroad with EF Language Centers through vintage-style cinematography and awesome typography. Makes you want to pack your bags, hop on a plane, and practice your French.
