The bedrooms and open spaces are beautifully decorated, with flat-roofed walkways and shady areas opening out onto sun decks and a swimming pool. – Jeralyn, editorial director

Spotted by Locals, our fellow indie travelers and frequent LWL contributors, are crowdfunding a campaign on Indiegogo to combat over-tourism. The idea is to disperse dollars by producing city guides that promote travel in lesser-known destinations and cities in Eastern Europe. Guides are curated by local volunteers in each city. – Jeralyn
