#VisitLakeCharles Photo of the Month: Stunning Aerial Views of Lake Charles

"I aimed to create a relatable image highlighting institutions and landmarks that shape our lives. Downtown Lake Charles offered ideal proximity for the shot. Unexpectedly, positioning the drone near the cathedral aligned the casino perfectly with the courthouse. To ensure prominence, I captured multiple shots at varying settings and merged them. Post-editing was just as thrilling as the flight!"

Growing up amid the piney woods, I frequently took these walks, weaving imaginative stories for the animals and birds I encountered. Those were truly memorable days. Yet, I seldom considered that nature might be watching me. Our latest Photo of the Month captures this intriguing reversal during a hike in the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge.
