The Green River Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) encompasses the scenic shoreline surrounding Green River Lake, situated between the towns of Campbellsville and Columbia in Christian County, Kentucky.
From Campbellsville, take Highway 70 east for 4 mi to the WMA’s western entrance. The WMA is also accessible via Highway 76, which branches off Highway 70 and serves the eastern portions of the area. From Columbia, Highway 551 north for 8 mi or Highway 206 north for 12 mi leads directly to the WMA. Additional county roads and boat launches provide alternative access points.
The terrain features gently rolling hills with flat bottomlands and elevated ridge tops, dominated by mixed hardwood forests. Interspersed clearings support agricultural crops and strategically placed wildlife food plots. The area is managed under Quality Deer Management regulations, ensuring sustainable harvests and healthy populations.
Camping is permitted only in designated areas. Boating and fishing are available at Green River Lake State Park, which lies adjacent to the WMA.
Ownership and stewardship fall under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, guaranteeing rigorous environmental oversight and public access.
