The Beaver Creek Wildlife Management Area spans 17,753 acres of rugged, mountainous terrain. Managed through a cooperative agreement between the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and the U.S. Forest Service, the area surrounds the Beaver Creek Wilderness within the Stearns Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest.
Its ecosystem is dominated by mixed hardwoods, covering 92 percent of the land, while open fields make up 7 percent and open water 1 percent—approximately 150 acres of open fields. No developed facilities are available, allowing wildlife to thrive in an undisturbed setting.
