Polaroid of the Week: Breathtaking Sunset Over Austin, Texas

Polaroid of the Week: Breathtaking Sunset Over Austin, TexasI apologize if my enthusiasm for Austin feels relentless—I've praised this quirky Texas capital before here and here, and even listed 33 reasons I adore it. Since arriving in New York last week, I've been sharing Austin's charms nonstop, nearly overlooking that I'm back in my favorite city.

My final week in Austin delivered the perfect local immersion, guided by a longtime resident who knows every corner. We explored East Austin's vibrant bars, including the stylish Weather Up (with a Brooklyn outpost I somehow missed near my old neighborhood), discovered the thrill of pinball arcades (NYC needs these!), savored craft beers, a delicious meal, and a film at the iconic Alamo Drafthouse—restaurant service in a theater is genius (and Brooklyn's getting one soon!). We capped it with a midnight bite at Magnolia Cafe, famed from Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

My Austin love story ended memorably: after a rainy week of storms and floods, the sun emerged for my last evening. My run along the Colorado River culminated in this stunning sunset, leaving me warm and nostalgic. Austin, I'll be back—thank you for the unforgettable memories!

  • Polaroid of the Week: Breathtaking Sunsets on Costa Rica s Pacific Coast

We adore sunsets, and nothing compares to watching one unfold on the beach. After two months along Costa Ricas Pacific Coast during rainy season, clear evenings are rare treasures. Mornings often bring vibrant blue skies and abundant sunshine, but afternoons typically turn gray, cloudy, and culminate in torrential downpours unlike any weve experienced. So, on those fortunate rain-free afternoons, we head to the beach with our puppy. Were rewarded with skies transforming from bright blue to vibr

  • Polaroid of the Week: Breathtaking Sunrise Over Bolivia s Salar de Uyuni Salt Flats

Dragging ourselves out of bed at 4:30 a.m. after two days of rugged off-roading across southern Bolivia was challenging—especially from beneath cozy llama wool blankets. But the excitement prevailed. At 5 a.m. sharp, we headed out to witness the sunrise over Salar de Uyuni, the worlds largest salt flat and the trips pinnacle moment. Our jeep raced the dawn, parking amid the vast flats as the blue night sky turned red above the salty white horizon. Salt crunched underfoot while the sun rose, pai

  • Polaroid of the Week: Breathtaking Panorama Over Tel Aviv from Jaffa s Hilltop

Last week, I spent much of my time in Israel before returning to a snowy Berlin—a stark contrast. Thursday saw me jogging in a tank top along Tel Avivs beach, while Friday had me running across the icy Tempelhof airfield. After Jerusalem, we bused to Tel Aviv, one of my favorite cities worldwide. It capped my trip perfectly: sunny and warm after cooler days, staying at a luxurious beachfront hotel. We enjoyed morning runs on the promenade, strolls through Carmel and Jaffa flea markets, and devour
