Polaroid of the Week: Farewell to Arizona's Desert Beauty – New Mexico Awaits!

Polaroid of the Week: Farewell to Arizona s Desert Beauty – New Mexico Awaits!Time has flown during our unforgettable year housesitting in Tucson. Our stay has ended, and we cherished one final day amid the stunning desert landscapes we've grown to love. Last week, friends Dave and Lauren stopped by during their Southwest road trip. We guided them through Saguaro National Park and embarked on a 3-hour hike in Sabino Canyon—braving the intense 102°F (39°C) heat!

Now, we're tracing their route on our own New Mexico road trip, starting tomorrow! We'll miss our loyal dog, welcoming neighbors, sparkling pool, and the majestic Saguaros towering overhead. Yet, excitement builds for Gila Cliff Dwellings, sledding down White Sands dunes, witnessing thousands of bats at Carlsbad Caverns, alien encounters in Roswell, exploring Albuquerque and the Turquoise Trail, a luxurious stay in Santa Fe, llama treks in Taos, and countless more highlights!

We can't fit you in the car, but join the journey on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook via #2girls1chevy. Tune in next week for the Polaroid of the Week highlighting our Week 1 highlight!

  • Phoenix Powwow: A Vibrant Celebration of Native American Culture – Polaroid of the Week

After my first weekend in Tucson with Katie, a surprise visitor arrived for the second, and VisitArizona highlighted an intriguing event: a powwow in Phoenix. A powwow brings together Native American communities to perform traditional dances and showcase their cultural regalia. Despite multiple Southwest visits, including reservations, I knew little about their heritage. Eager to learn, we headed to Phoenix for the day. Powwows traditionally unite Native Americans from diverse communities to dan
