Established in 1797 and incorporated in 1879, Millheim is a historic gem in Penns Valley, Pennsylvania. Home to about 900 residents and accessible via one main road, this charming borough spans just 1.3 square miles yet captivates visitors. The drive here is an adventure in itself—choose scenic Route 45 or the picturesque Route 192 through Brush Valley's Amish farmlands, linking via winding Route 445 to the town center. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986, Millheim offers endless exploration.

The rustic yet modern Inglebean Coffee House on Main Street serves homemade breakfasts, lunches, baked goods, and excellent coffee in a cozy space. Step out back to the intimate patio, or cozy up by the indoor fireplace during cooler months.

Open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m., Pisano Winery on nearby Penn Street offers small-batch wines in a quaint tasting room. Enjoy a glass, craft cocktails with Pennsylvania spirits, or relax outdoors by the historic millrace.

Elk Creek Café + Aleworks, a beloved brewery bistro, specializes in farm-to-fork dishes and handcrafted ales. Temporarily relocated to Elk Creekside! at the Millheim Fire Company grounds due to COVID-19, it serves craft beer and a chalkboard menu Thursdays through Sundays under tents with Oktoberfest-style seating. Ample green space allows picnics; curbside pickup available at 100 West Main Street. Live music plays Saturdays and Sundays.

Original Italian Pizza on Main Street dishes up pizza and Italian specialties daily except Sundays.
