Penn State Homecoming Unveils 2021 Logo: 'Together, State Prevails'

Penn State Homecoming unveiled its 2021 logo on Saturday, April 17, 2021, via a special reveal video ahead of a modified Blue-White Game during the annual Legacy Celebration.

Penn State Homecoming Unveils 2021 Logo: Together, State Prevails

The design embodies the 2021 theme, “Together, State Prevails,” announced in February during THON.

Crafted by Cameron Soravilla, a junior graphic design major in the Penn State Stuckeman School within the College of Arts and Architecture at University Park, the logo captures the iconic Homecoming parade.

“The parade is iconic to Homecoming history,” Soravilla explained. “I depicted its essence with a forward-driving vintage car silhouette, evoking nostalgia and appealing to all ages.”

This marks Soravilla's second major Penn State event, following her role as Graphic Design Captain for THON 2021.

“I'm grateful to contribute my skills to THON and Homecoming, enhancing PSU's brand and engaging the community,” she added.

Soravilla's entry was one of eight finalists.

The logo will feature on all Homecoming elements, from merchandise to parade floats. Merchandise sales begin this fall, with events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraisers leading to Homecoming week: October 17-23.

The Executive Committee plans a mix of online and in-person activities, adhering to University COVID-19 guidelines.

About Penn State Homecoming

Perched cross legged high up on a Benghazi rooftop sipping sweet Arabica coffee the sound of Kalashnikov fire cuts through the evening call to prayer and we hear the bullets zinging upwards into the night sky. Our Libyan host doesn’t flinch but after a pause his friend insists that ‘we go inside because you can be killed by a falling bullet and we will be in trouble because no one will believe the story’. He is calm and collected but we soon realise that he isn’t joking and move inside. I res

This is how Sarah Marquis describes her philosophy, and her approach, to her incredible journeys. It all began when, aged just eight, Marquis went exploring with her dog. She left the family home in Montsevelier, Switzerland, one afternoon, without telling anyone where she was going, and discovered a cave. Beguiled by the bats hanging above her, she decided to spend the night. She was 17 when she learned to ride a horse by crossing Central Anatolia in Turkey on horseback. As the new millen
