EdVenture Myrtle Beach: Interactive Aviation-Themed STEM Exhibits and Family Fun at The Market Common
Recently, we visited the new EdVenture Myrtle Beach location at The Market Common, formerly known as The South Carolina Children’s Museum. This 3,500-square-foot space features flight-themed exhibits, along with educational programs, field trips, birthday parties, and more.
Children engage with hands-on exhibits blending science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts, with a strong emphasis on aviation. Highlights include an interactive spaceship with mission control that kids can climb into, a 1960s-era playhouse featuring a moon landing video loop, and a realistic flight simulator.
Though my own children weren't with me this time, I can envision them thrilled by every exhibit. We'll return soon after their summer camps. My oldest would love the oversized Legos, while my youngest climber would explore the scalable NASA spaceship.
EdVenture is perfect for rainy days but equally enjoyable in sunny weather—especially now at The Market Common, just steps from Savannah’s Playground, allowing families to extend their outing.
Affordable pricing sets it apart from larger attractions: $8 general admission (ages 2+), free for under 24 months. Educators, seniors, and military families pay $7. Open daily: Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday 12-6 p.m. Visit www.edventure.org/myrtle-beach for details.
