USA Today Ranks Myrtle Beach #1 Affordable City Where Everyone Wants to Live
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – USA Today recently named Myrtle Beach the top affordable city "where everyone wants to live right now," based on a 24/7 Wall St. analysis.
The ranking draws from U.S. Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis data, highlighting 50 U.S. metro areas with below-average living costs, housing aligned with incomes, and net population growth from 2010 to 2018.
"Myrtle Beach continues to earn the recognition it richly deserves," said Karen Riordan, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "Being the #1 city people desire to live in testifies to our Grand Strand quality of life. Our 60 miles of coastline, southern hospitality, entertainment, dining, and climate draw visitors who return to live, work, and play."
