Visit Myrtle Beach Partners with AYCE and Harena Data to Launch Golden Dragons eSports Recruitment Program
The American Youth Cooperative for Esports (AYCE) and analytics firm Harena Data have teamed up with the Visit Myrtle Beach tourism board to launch an exciting eSports recruitment initiative.
The 'Golden Dragons' program offers young American players scholarships, custom jerseys, and a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina's premier tourist destination. 
Bill Dever, Chairman of AYCE, stated: "Myrtle Beach is one of the nation's first cities to adopt an eSports initiative of this caliber and quality. We're honored that Visit Myrtle Beach chose AYCE as its primary community aggregator for eSports and are thrilled to help them flourish. The future of eSports is bright in Myrtle Beach."
The Golden Dragons will run as a regular, year-round gaming series. Players earn points through qualifying tournaments, leading to a season finale with a $2,000 grand prize scholarship and $1,000 for the runner-up. The top 300 players, based on points, will receive Golden Dragons jerseys.
While specific games weren't detailed, AYCE—which includes numerous state soccer organizations—supports over 150 competitive titles via Harena Data's GYO Score platform. Streamers can request features on studioGYO powered by MetaMedia via Twitch.
