Myrtle Beach Welcomes You Back Safely: Business Reopening Protocols

Myrtle Beach Welcomes You Back Safely: Business Reopening Protocols

The Beach is Back!

The Myrtle Beach area is thrilled to welcome visitors back following COVID-19 closures. Local businesses are reopening with proven safety measures in place, ready when you are.

Hotels, resorts, restaurants, and attractions have implemented protocols to minimize person-to-person contact, enforce social distancing, and ensure thorough cleaning. Staff and guests must prioritize frequent handwashing and maintaining distance.

Local authorities have developed guidelines to control virus spread, and hospitality businesses are fully compliant. Expect modifications like removed communal seating, closed business centers, game rooms, and gyms. Many offer pre-check-in options or outdoor registration to reduce interactions.

Please be patient and follow all posted instructions. Floor markers guide social distancing, and visitor flow is managed to avoid unnecessary proximity. These steps promote safe, healthy travel—not inconvenience.

Verify specifics with your lodging provider in advance to manage expectations.

Restaurants and attractions prioritize sanitation, disinfecting tables, chairs, railings, and high-touch surfaces between uses. Many use disposable dishware and utensils, with no shared condiments on tables—simply ask staff if needed.

And don’t forget the beach! With 60 miles of wide-open shoreline, there’s ample space. However, maintain six feet from others, sticking to family groups or parties of three or fewer.

As always, clean up after yourself on the beach and throughout your visit.

Businesses are committed to safety; we ask visitors to do the same. Avoid travel if unwell, and adhere to all directives. Together, we’ll keep the Grand Strand open and enjoyable for all.
