Spotlight on Ralph Remington: Visionary Leader at Tempe Center for the Arts
Meet Ralph Remington, Producing & Artistic Director for the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) and Deputy Director for Arts and Culture for the City of Tempe. His passion for the arts ignited when he played the Cowardly Lion in his third-grade production of The Wizard of Oz. This early spark has propelled a distinguished career across the country in theater and cultural leadership.
With over 30 years of experience, Ralph excels as a multitasker—writing, producing, directing, and acting in professional theater. He founded the Pillsbury House Theatre in Minneapolis, where he also served on the city council. In Washington, D.C., he led music and theater programs for the National Endowment for the Arts.
This rich background prepares him ideally for his diverse responsibilities at TCA and the City of Tempe. Ralph sees TCA as a unique venue offering one-of-a-kind cultural experiences to varied audiences. He enjoys collaborating with his team on innovative programs and engaging directly with patrons to see their responses to performances.
We're thrilled that Ralph's journey, sparked in third grade, led him to Tempe, where he brings creative brilliance to the Tempe Center for the Arts.
