Celebrate the Season at Dallas Arboretum – Lights, Santa, Music & More

With 500,000 lights, daily activities, and holiday treats, the Dallas Arboretum delivers early‑season cheer for the entire family.

Stroll through the 12 Days of Christmas exhibit

Light‑filled gazebo displays recreate every scene from the classic carol, sure to spark holiday excitement. Visit any time of day or night—daily displays run until Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the illuminated nighttime show is available Wednesday through Sunday. Bring a cup of hot chocolate for the perfect family outing.

Meet Santa Claus

Pose for festive photos with Santa in Crape Myrtle Allee, surrounded by sparkling lights. He’s available Wednesday evenings (Nov. 15–Dec. 20, 6 p.m.–9 p.m.) and Saturday–Sunday afternoons (Nov. 25–Dec. 24, 12 p.m.–4 p.m.). Don’t miss the elves in the Elves Workshop for arts, crafts, and holiday games, open Wednesday through Sunday nights (Nov. 8–Dec. 30, 6 p.m.–9 p.m.).

Holiday Karaoke

Take the mic on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. Sunday nights (Nov. 26, Dec. 3, 10, & 17, 6 p.m.–9 p.m.) let you and your friends belt out your favorite Christmas hits.

Nutcracker Suite at the DeGolyer House

The historic DeGolyer House transforms into a holiday wonderland, showcasing over 800 nutcrackers that illustrate scenes from the Nutcracker ballet. The exhibit opens daily from Nov. 24 to Jan. 7, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and hosts evening performances Wednesday nights (Nov. 29–Dec. 27, 6 p.m.–9 p.m.). After the show, stop by Restaurant DeGolyer for holiday tea from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Outdoor Movie Night

Enjoy a family‑friendly film under the stars. The Arboretum’s first outdoor movie screens “Elf” on the Martin Rutchik Lawn on Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets and a friend for a cozy evening.

Holiday Market

Looking for unique gifts? The Holiday Market runs Dec. 2–3, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., offering antiques, vintage items, handmade knitwear, fused glass, jewelry, and more.

Happy “Noon” Year’s Eve

Celebrate the New Year in a child‑friendly way on Dec. 31. The Arboretum hosts science, crafts, music, and a noon “ball drop.” Children can explore the Children’s Adventure Garden while enjoying a day of activities.
