Experience Magical Holiday Lights at The Great Christmas Light Show in North Myrtle Beach
One of the holiday highlights our family anticipates every year is The Great Christmas Light Show at North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex in South Carolina. This enchanting drive-through display boasts over 2 million festive lights along a 1.5-mile route. The event typically runs nightly from late November through December 30 (except Christmas Day), offering ample chances to enjoy the spectacle.
Perfectly magical for all ages—especially children—the show features more than 500 custom light displays, some towering up to 55 feet, plus 20 animated figures and scenes that dance to life with moving lights.

After the drive-through, park and explore Santa’s Village for hot chocolate, s’mores, the Santa Express Train Ride, the Chris-Maze, and photos with Santa. Santa’s Village operates weekends in early December and nightly later in the season. We've attended annually since our first child was a toddler, and it keeps getting better!
Plan extra time on weekends for traffic—North Myrtle Beach manages it well, but peak times can be busy. Pack snacks for the kids; we've never had issues. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Pricing is per vehicle: $15 (1-15 guests), $30 (16-30), $60 (31+). Call (843) 280-5570 for buses. Bring cash for activities like the train and Candy Cane Scramble; Santa photos are free (use your own device). Visit NMBChristmas.com for details.
