Dallas Celebrates Halloween with Spooky Events and Festive Gatherings
DOWNTOWN
Trick or Treat on Downtown Streets
Over 30 businesses are participating this year in the Trick or Treat on Downtown Streets event on Oct. 31. Adults, families with kids and even pets can explore downtown in spooky and fun costumes to celebrate Halloween. Start at Main Street Garden, where a map marks all participating locations. Return to the park by 7:30 p.m. to enjoy a screening of Hocus Pocus.
Dia de los Muertos Festival
For the first time, Downtown will host a Dia de los Muertos festival on Oct. 26. The inaugural celebration will feature a parade, live music, arts and crafts for kids and families, and a fireworks display. The festival begins at 4 p.m. at Dallas City Hall, with the parade starting at 5 p.m. City officials will speak about Dallas’ commitment to diversity and inclusion.
UPTOWN
Decks in the Park: Halloween Bash
Decks in the Park: Halloween Bash returns for its sixth year on Oct. 31 at Klyde Warren Park. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests can enjoy the night with seven of Dallas’ top DJs. The event is free with an RSVP.
OAK LAWN
Oak Lawn Halloween Block Party
Oak Lawn’s Halloween Block Party returns to the Cedar Springs strip on Oct. 26 for an adults‑only night of Halloween fun. Whether you’ve spent weeks crafting a costume or assembled one last minute, the “anything goes” theme invites creativity. The Rose Room at S4 will host a drag show, while the rest of the strip buzzes with spirited revelry.
VICTORY PARK
Altitude at W Dallas Victory Hotel
The rooftop bar Altitude at the W Dallas Victory hotel will host Halloween parties on Oct. 26 and Oct. 31. The 26th hosts a Costume Ball at 9 p.m. featuring Joe Vegas and DJ Ling Ling, tickets start at $35. The 31st hosts the Halloween Night Masquerade with Joe Vegas and Camilo Espinosa, offering guests dancing and party favors to remember.
SOUTH DALLAS
Halloweekend
The Dallas Zoo’s Halloweekend returns on Oct. 26–27, offering trick‑or‑treating throughout the zoo, a beer garden for adults, pumpkin patches with scarecrows, and family‑friendly activities. All Halloweekend events are included with general admission, and guests receive treat coupons; additional coupons can be purchased. Costumes are encouraged but full masks are discouraged.
EAST DALLAS
Autumn at the Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden hosts its annual Autumn at the Arboretum festival, themed this year “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Visitors can explore the nationally acclaimed pumpkin village, featuring topiaries, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang. The festival runs through Oct. 31.
