The Fight for Civil Rights in the South Exhibit
The Dallas Holocaust & Human Rights Museum currently hosts the powerful exhibition The Fight for Civil Rights in the South, a blend of two photo collections that document the African American fight for civil rights and equality during the 1960s. In the Selma to Montgomery gallery, photographer Spider Martin captures the historic march to Montgomery, Alabama, and the pivotal moment when Dr. King led marchers across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. 2021 Martin Luther King, Jr. Symposium
The Dallas Institute of Humanities & Culture presents its annual symposium on Jan. 18, now hosted virtually. The theme, The Impact of Slavery on Rev. King’s ‘Dream’, explores how slavery shaped Dr. King’s vision. MLK Day of Service
