1. Groovin' at the Grove kicks off on March 2 with Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin' Cajuns, continues with Louisiana Red on April 6, and wraps up with Nik-L Beer on May 4. Bring a chair or blanket to the scenic Great Lawn in the heart of the Walnut Grove neighborhood at 1450 William St (off W. Sallier St) in Lake Charles. Enjoy free admission and food trucks.
2. The Listening Room at the Cash and Carry Building, 801 Enterprise Blvd., offers intimate music experiences. On March 10, local artist John Guidroz performed original songs and covers. 3. Live @ the Lakefront at the Arcade Amphitheater on March 17, 24, and 31. Grab your lawn chair or blanket, relax with Louisiana musicians and bands, and browse the open-air market, food trucks, and local restaurant booths. Free admission.

4. Sulphur Sax in the City Summer Series at Mines Sulphur Community Theatre, 121 E. Napoleon St., Sulphur, on May 11, June 10, and July 15. Grammy-nominated Louisiana native Huber "Mickey" Smith Jr. curates each show, complete with a catered meal.

5. Downtown at Sundown Outdoor Concert Series in downtown Lake Charles on May 19, 26, June 2, and 9. Experience a lively street-fair vibe with local and regional artists, food and drinks, tabletop galleries, merchandise vendors, and kid-friendly activities.
6. McNeese State University's Banners Cultural Series features national and international performers each spring, including jazz artist Etienne Charles, The Doo Wop Project, and three-time Grammy-nominated Afro-Caribbean group Tiempo Libre.
