Southwest Launches Weekly Saturday Flights Between Charleston and Denver

Southwest Airlines will commence weekly Saturday non‑stop flights between Charleston International Airport (CHS) and Denver International Airport (DEN) starting June 11, 2016.

CEO Helen T. Hill of the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau remarked: “Denver has long been a strategic focus for Southwest’s service to Charleston. The pair is now the largest city pair in the region without nonstop service.”

She added that the Saturday service could transition to daily once the market’s viability is confirmed, and that the local hospitality industry is ready to welcome the increased traffic.

Flights from Denver are scheduled to arrive in Charleston just in time for dinner at one of the city’s acclaimed restaurants.

Southwest’s CHS‑to‑DEN schedule:

• Depart Charleston: 3:45 PM – Arrive Denver: 5:20 PM
• Depart Denver: 10:55 AM – Arrive Charleston: 4:15 PM
