Explore the Tranquil Magdalena Bay: Baja California Sur’s Hidden Coastal Gem

The Baja California Sur state is recognized for being one of the beach destinations more eclectic and avant-garde in Mexico. You can visit San Carlos o Loreto, or the Magdalena bay in the Comondu municipality. This is the perfect place if you are looking for a destination with a relaxing atmosphere. These are fisher ports, far away for the bustle of other places, but still you can find beautiful landscapes and hotels.

The Magdalena bay is located 216 kilometers from La Paz and has more than 260 square kilometers that adjoin to the south with the impressive Bahía Almejas lagoon and to the north with Poza Grande.

This is a privileged location. It has perfect weather and this allows that complex sea ecosystems develop. This is one of the four wetlands in the western zone of the Peninsula.

The lovers of nature come to this sanctuary to watch dolphins, sea wolves, turtles or different birds like ducks, herons or seagulls that are inhabitants of this place or that come here searching for better weather.

To round up your whole trip in the “Jewel of the Pacific” as is called sometimes, don’t forget to schedule a trip to one of the most spectacular shows you will ever see: the arrival of the gray whale.

This is also the perfect place for practising different aquatic sports such as sports fishing, diving or snorkel. You can aslo schedule trips to explore its mangroves and its dunes.
