17th Annual Salem s So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival: A Delightful Celebration

Salem Main Streets, the Salem Chamber of Commerce, Destination Salem, and local retailers, restaurants, and businesses invite you to attend the 17th annual Salem’s So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival. A decadent tradition of delectable chocolate, sparkling ice sculptures, and Valentine’s Day shopping, this is Salem’s sweetest event of the year!

The festival kicks off with a Chocolate and Wine Tasting, on Friday, February 8th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, at Colonial Hall at Rockafellas. Get your tickets early to taste wine, chocolates, and other sweets with favorite Salem shops and restaurants! To purchase tickets ($30) call 978-744-0004, order online at salemsosweet.com, or in person at the Salem Chamber of Commerce. This event sells out every year, so be sure to get your tickets early!

See ice sculptures around town on February 9-10. Some of the previous sculptures have included a Dragon, a Lobster, Ruby Slippers, and The Friendship. View the sculptures after 5:00 pm on Saturday to see them illuminated by Retonica until 9 pm! Details for this year’s sculptures will be available on salemsosweet.com the week of the festival.

The Salem Trolley offers trolley rides around the festival route to view the ice sculptures February 9-10 (weather permitting) 12 pm-4 pm, and trolley tickets will be $2 for adults and free for kids.

The “Golden Ticket” offers are back for 2019! When you grab your Salem’s So Sweet map at a participating downtown business, check the Golden Ticket for promotion details. Use the ticket when shopping at a participating business, and take 10% off your purchase at the next business listed.
