Maui Adventure Video: Embracing Life's Fleeting Moments

I've been deeply reflective lately, contemplating life, death, and cherished loved ones. We're facing a heart-wrenching decision—one that feels like playing God.

Our 16-year-old feline companion is gravely ill, and we've chosen to forgo medications, injections, and vet visits, allowing her to pass peacefully. I've had her since she was a kitten, and she's been my steadfast companion through countless life changes since leaving home at 17. Imagining life without her fills me with profound sadness, but the greater pain lies in making this choice for her.

Death doesn't frighten me as much as deciding the fate of a living being. Yet, it's not about me. Animals likely don't fear death as humans do, and I trust this spares her suffering, guiding her to peace.

What ties this to a Maui video? With these thoughts, I edited our footage. It evokes joyful memories and delivers a clear message: life is beautiful, fleeting, and not to be taken for granted.

Maui Adventure Video: Embracing Life s Fleeting Moments

Adventure sports like surfing draw me in because they demand presence in the moment—a lesson I strive to apply daily, though it's challenging.

Our footage wasn't extraordinary, and we didn't plan a full video, but I'm pleased with its poignant message, which I hope resonates with viewers.

Our Maui trip was hosted by the Maui Visitors Bureau, but opinions are our own. Video partners include Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, Proflyght Paragliding, Kapalua Adventures, and Snuba.

  • Everyday Life in Alleppy s Serene Backwaters: Authentic Kerala Experience

Tourists in their fancy houseboats in the Alleppey backwaters seemed high in spirit, with their impressive camera doing most of the work. But on the local ferry, the atmosphere was rather regular. Here, no one appeared to be in a hurry or amazed by the arresting beauty of the backwaters of Alleppey – one of the prime highlights of tourism in Kerala. Backwaters of Alleppey I heard a lot about this place. I heard that tourists here hire a floating houseboat and wander through its maze of

One of the nicest things about traveling somewhere new is observing (and partaking in!) all the cultural rituals youd normally ignore at home.MAUI – There are many reasons why a vacation to the Hawaiian islands would be good for you right now. Theyre remote, lush, tropical, quiet, and imbued with tradition. With every salty, sweet, GMO-free inhalation of fresh air you feel more grounded to the Earth. No wonder many a surfer/yogi/honeymooner

  • A 30-Year Journey: From Cibachrome Prints to Life Behind the Lens

I’ve been involved in photography for over 30 years and when I was a student I used to print and sell cibachrome prints to keep myself in slide film and camera equipment. Not many people will remember cibachrome but it was a really nice finish for printing slide film onto. Over the years, photography has taken a back seat while family and my professional career as an oral and facial surgeon was developing and I’d be on call for 4 days in a row and living away fr
