The Path of the Bear (La Senda del Oso)
One of Asturias' most celebrated routes for cyclists and hikers of all skill levels, this former railway is now a scenic Greenway through Quirós, Santo Adriano, Proaza, and Teverga. Keep an eye out for the elusive Cantabrian brown bear. Covering approximately 30 km in an inverted 'Y' shape, complete it in one vigorous day or split into two stages to savor the surroundings. Trace the Trubia River—first on your left, then right—along paths between the river and road. Ideal for a day trip near Oviedo, the regional capital.
