The Nittany Antique Machinery Association: A Storied Tradition of Antique Engines and Tractors
In the fall of 1974, a group of Centre County farmers sparked an idea during casual chats at an antique engine show. They began meeting regularly, and by January 1975, the Nittany Antique Machinery Association (NAMA) was officially formed. Fueled by passion and perseverance, they hosted their inaugural Fall Show in September 1975—transforming a bold dream into a cherished annual tradition.
Today, spanning nearly 100 acres, the venue proudly boasts a dedicated Toy Building, expansive Flea Market, and diverse food vendors. Each fall features a spotlight on a different tractor make, with live demonstrations of antique machinery—including grain threshing and sawmilling powered by historic steam engines. Enjoy homemade apple cider, ice cream, broom-making crafts, and more. The excitement peaks with an antique tractor parade by day and thrilling evening pulling competitions featuring tractors and steam engines.
For a preview, join us at our annual Spring Show on June 4, 5 & 6, 2021.
