Discovery Space is a vibrant science center and makerspace in State College, spanning 5,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and two dedicated classrooms. We offer year-round science explorations for families, along with diverse hands-on programs and events in a fun, engaging learning environment.

Ideal for birthday parties, group visits, or field trips, Discovery Space hosts week-long summer camps for children ages 4-14. During the school year, we deliver STEM education through afterschool and homeschool programs.

Our adult makerspace, The Rivet, empowers the community to build and repair almost anything using our tools and classes. It supports artists, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, and trades professionals.

The expedition was run by Secret Compass, an expedition provider I had been working for part time d

The sun is still a dull glow beneath the horizon, and the fine sand that makes up this remarkable landscape remains cold to the touch. We are in the Rub’ al Khali, the Empty Quarter, and never has a name seemed to so aptly des
