Experience the Magical 1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival in Myrtle Beach This Month

Discover the enchanting Myrtle Beach 1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival, one of the most anticipated new events this season. While we haven't attended a water lantern festival yet, our annual visits to Brookgreen Gardens' Night of a Thousand Candles highlight the spellbinding beauty of thousands of lights illuminating the night.

This ticketed event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on April 13 at 1011 Crabtree Lane in The Market Common. Each ticket includes one lantern to release into the pond at Grand Park during the main event from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Leading up, enjoy food trucks, kids' activities, live entertainment, and bingo.

Attendees may bring lawn chairs, food, and non-alcoholic drinks. Early bird pricing ends April 7: adult tickets rise from $24.99 to $29.99 (plus taxes/fees). Kids 9 and under are free; youth (10-13) $12.99 (plus taxes/fees). Extra lanterns are $10, with kits provided for decoration.

Stunning photos from similar festivals await—bring your phone or camera to capture the magic. Its location near The Market Common's shops and dining makes it perfect for a full evening out.
