L.W. Paul Living History Farm: Experience Authentic 1900-1955 Farm Life in Horry County

Step back in time to experience daily life on a traditional Horry County farm from 1900 to 1955 at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. Funded by local businessman Larry Paul, whose family has deep roots in Horry County agriculture, this immersive site educates visitors through hands-on activities and demonstrations typical of early 20th-century family farms.

Seasonal events and live demonstrations reflect authentic farm practices throughout the year, ensuring fresh experiences with every visit. Highlights include:

  • Plowing with Mules
  • Making Lye Soap
  • Curing Meat
  • Milking Cows
  • Traditional Water Supply Methods
  • Historical Laundry Techniques
  • Blacksmithing Demonstrations
